Adobe Announces Animate CC As Replacement For Flash Professional

Adobe is moving on from Flash Professional CC with the introduction of Animate CC. For a long time Flash Professional CC has been used in the creation of Flash-based content for years. The change comes as web and mobile continues to move towards HTML5 and as Flash has experienced crashes and security issues in recent times.

On the company’s official blog, Adobe says that developers have told them they wanted tools devoted to working with HTML5 hence Animate CC. This is basically re-branding of Flash Professional CC with a heavier focus on HTML5 content, but will still support those who prefer working with Flash. Animate will do everything Flash Professional CC did and work in cooperation with different elements of Adobe’s Creative Cloud.

You can check their full schedule of its Creative Jams series here and see their streams live on Twitch. The Creative Jams will run until 2/1AM Central until December 4th.
