Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani Needs to be Retired

Ali Akbar Javanfekr, the presidential advisor for press affairs and Managing-Director of IRNA, said Rafsanjani needs to be retired and he needs some more rest.

Javanfekr criticized Rafsanjani by using strongest terms by saying: “Rafsanjani is now 80 years old and the directing position is not suitable for him. I’m not talking only about Rafsanjani but all the old authorities. We have many elderly directors in system and keeping them in their position is injustice to their families.”

The tensions between Hashemi Rafsanjani and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have been raised after the presidential election on 2009. In that time Rafsanjani wrote a letter to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei in order to prevent Ahmadinejad from doing illegal jobs against him. The root of their tensions is about the executive strategies by Ahmadinejad.

The policy of Rafsanjani for international affairs is preventing from tensions and negotiating in private, while Ahmadinejad follows Ali Khamenei policy in this subject which is general diplomacy in front of all the countries.
