Al Ahli Reach The Final Match of The Champions Cup by Defeating Al Hilal

The Jeddah based club, Al Ahli, qualified for the final match of the Saudi Champions Cup after drawing at home with Al Hilal by the result of 2-2 on Friday in the meeting which was held at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium in Jeddah.

The match was a fantastic one. Al Hilal made several opportunities for opening the goal of Al Ahli in the first minutes of the game. But Mansour Al Harbi from Al Ahli scored the first goal taking advantage of a cross in 21′. After just two minutes the Swedish Wilhelmsson scored his goal for Al Hilal to equalize the game.

In the second half Colombian player of Al Ahli, Palomino, hit the ball with his head to the right of goalkeeper Hassan Al-Otaibi. It resulted in the second goal in 79′ from a penalty kick.

The late goal was a double by Swedish Wilhelmsson in 93′ for Hilal but it didn’t help the team.

After finishing the game, officials of Al Hilal sacked their head coach, Ivan Hašek.
