Al-Hamra Cinema Closed in Lebanon Due to Screening Pornographic Films

After screening pornographic films by Al-Hamra cinema in North Lebanon’s Tripoli located in Al-Tal area, the security forces shut down this theater on Thursday. Also Internal Security Forces patrol detained the owner of the cinema, identified only by his initials A.J., and launched an investigation into the issue.

Some of the Lebanese citizens criticized this movement. They believe these kind of jobs restrict people freedom.

The closure was operated under the command of Brigadier Bassam Al Ayoubi and the presence of the prosecutor in the north, Omar Hamza. The cinema’s wall is now painted with red wax. Omar Hamza said: “The cinema was closed with red wax and the investigation started which will include the owner and all who contributed to the work against morality.”
