Ali Akbar Salehi to Visit India

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi plans to make a trip to the Indian capital of New Delhi in the near future, Iranian Ambassador to India Mehdi Nabizadeh announced on Saturday.

Indian sources believe the main intention of this trip is negotiating with Indian sides about the oil trades between Iran and India. Nowadays there are many rumors about reducing the amount of importing oils from Iran by India. So Iranian sides are looking for diplomatic solutions for this problem that may hurt Iran’s economic in this condition. Iran has not yet officially made comment on this subject but the recent negotiations between these two countries show the importance of this job for Iran. India and China are currently the biggest buyers of Iran’s oil and if India cut the oil imports from Iran, Iranian government will face more problems in near future.

During his visit, Salehi will present President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s letter to Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who has been invited to participate in the upcoming Non-Aligned Movement summit, which will be held in Tehran in late August.
