Amazon has decided to kick off Cyber Monday on Saturday. With the company making a killing on Black Friday, it’s not surprising they would push for customers to empty their wallets even more.
To wet everyone’s appetites, the company dropped a list of deals for the other major shopping holiday and announced that deals would run for eight days. Cyber Monday’s deals will run in a similar format to Black Friday’s in that there will be lightning deals every 10 minutes. Announcements on deals will be made via social media, through the Amazon app, and on Amazon.com.
The approach is expected given the flexible nature of online commerce to allow for seasonal and special deals to roll on for several days at a time and into the next. One can expect other companies to do the same for a “winter holiday” sale.
