'Anonymous' Hacking Group Takes Down Official Website for the Mayor of London to Support Julian Assange

In a new movement by ‘Anonymous’ hacking group in their ‘Operation Free Assange’ campaign (#OpFreeAssange), the group took down the official website for the Mayor of London. Currently London.gov.uk is out of order.

Previously they hacked the official websites for Ministry of Justice and UK Prime Minister. However these websites are working normally at this time. According to reports, no data have been removed from the mentioned websites. DDOS (distributed denial-of-service) was the main attacking method.

Anonymous hacking group officially announced their support for Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks website. ‘Anonymous’ threatened to take down more governmental websites in United Kingdom in order to condemn the recent actions by Britain government against Julian Assange. The group also launched its formal campaign with #OpFreeAssange hashtag in Twitter.

Ecuador approved the political asylum request made by Julian Assange but United Kingdom government doesn’t let the guy to leave Britain.
