Apple launches iOS 6.1.3 to fix lock screen security bug

Apple has officially released today the latest version of their mobile operating system, iOS 6.1.3, the software update is available for iPod Touch, iPad, and iPhone users.

A security bug that permitted the access to an iPhone by allowing them to bypass the lock screen was patched with the latest iOS update.

Anyone who new the precise sequence of steps could get around the iPhone’s lock screen, the security flaw then allowed them to check contact pictures, listen to private voice mails or even to make phone calls.

Apple also included in iOS 6.1.3 a long awaited update to the Apple Maps app for user in Japan
The iOS 6.1.3 update is available through iTunes or as an over-the-air download.
