At Least 26 People Killed in Car Bomb Blast in Southern Yemen

Medics and witnesses said a car bomb exploded while trying to attack the presidential palace in southern Yemen on Saturday, killing at least 26 people and injuring others .

The attack, apparently by a suicide bomber, happened in Hadramaut, far from the capital of Sanaa, where Yemen’s new president took an oath of office on Saturday .

The source said the car bomb drived and reached the gate of the presidential palace , during the presence of large numbers of soldiers exploded and shook the region, causing the fall of a large number of dead and wounded were taken to hospitals.

Al Qaeda has claimed responsibility for the attack .
