Ayatollah Akhtari: Iran’s Cyber Police Must Use All the Facilities to Deal with People Insulting Islam

Ayatollah Akhtari, Secretary General of Ahlul Bayt World Assembly, urged the authorities of Iran’s Cyber Police to use all the facilities to deal with those Iranian users insulting Islam and Islamic icons across the virtual space. The Iran’s Cyber Police is actively searching for clients ‘abuse’ Internet by posting anti-Islam messages.

“Unfortunately there are some people insulting Islam and Imams in different websites. So we must use all the available options to suppress their illegal movements.” Ayatollah Akhtari said.

“However in the first step we must hold direct negotiation and communicate with this type of users and make them clear of their mistakes. By doing this they will accept their wrong jobs and stop doing such acts. Some people may be subject to misunderstood so we must explain the solutions for them.” the Secretary General of Ahlul Bayt World Assembly continued.

“Also we must not forget and ignore providing the useful and accurate information in Persian for our users. We should take cultural practices to eradicate those disgusting acts.” He concluded.

It’s good to know that some Iranians have formed “The Campaign In Memory of Imam Naghi of the Shiites”. There are several websites, Twitter accounts and Facebook pages posting messages which are deemed as ‘anti-Islam’ and ‘insulting’ messages by Iranian Ayatollahs.
