Branko Ivanković Sacked From Ettifaq FC And May Join Al Wahda

The officials of Ettifaq FC decided to sack Branko Ivanković after a loss to Al Fateh by a brace from Brazilian striker, Élton, during the Champions Cup tournament which is running locally  in the Saudi Arabia.

Ettifaq is now placed fourth in Saudi Pro League with 47 points, 10 points ahead of the next team.

Also Al Ittifaq is the leading team in Group A in the AFC Cup with 11 points from 5 matches.

Base on reports, Ettifaq’s officials are negotiating with Zlatko Dalic to set as the next head coach.

Branko was the manager of Iranian national football team at the 2006 World Cup. On 22 July 2011, He was signed an one year contract with Ettifaq FC to lead club in 2011–12 Saudi Professional League. His agent said he has received some perfect offers from other team. Al Wahda may be the next destination of this Croatian football coach.

According to statistics of him in Ettifaq, the team was the winner in 85% of the total games.
