China Requests From Damascus to Respect Its Commitments to The Ceasefire

China called the regime in Damascus and the Syrian opposition to respect “their commitments” to the ceasefire and military withdrawal from cities as part of a UN envoy Kofi Annan’s plan to resolve the current crisis on Monday.

“China calls on the Syrian government and the other parties concerned in Syria pledges to respect the ceasefire plan and troop withdrawal from the cities.” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Weimin told a news briefing.

China, Russia and Iran are three countries who actively support the Bashar Al-Assad regime. The recent resolution by Kofi Annan somehow supports the benefits of current Syrian governments so the mentioned three countries called on Bashar Al-Assad to follow the plan.
