Facebook is no stranger when it comes to allowing casual and hardcore gaming experiences on its platform. In its roots it heavily featured and promoted games from developer Zynga and launch similar games for years.
This year saw Facebook strike up a deal with Activision Blizzard to allow for live streaming on the social network. Now the company brings gaming experiences to its Messenger and News Feed service.
It’s called Facebook Instant Games and allows for users to play games via HTML5 without having to download anything extra. For titles that are multiplayer, they can be played on mobile or web. Also the selection isn’t like modern titles where you can save and continue your progress across platforms. Some of the games available are of the retro variety with Galaga, Pac-Man, and Space Invaders along with 13 other titles.
To access Facebook Instant Games, you simply have to click on the controller icon in Messenger’s main menu and just click on the bookmark in the Facebook app.
