Farvartish Rezvaniyeh Writes a Letter to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Farvartish Rezvaniyeh, one of the most famous Iranian journalists and humorists, sent a letter to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad criticized the hush taken by Iranians officials after weird happenings occurred on Thursday.”When Aliens Attack Iran” is the title of his letter. Rezvaniyeh believes the nonprofessional reaction by Iranian government could lead people to streets riots. He also praised independent correspondents who covered the stories around happenings to calm down people and keep them in their houses. However he criticized local news agencies and Iranian Space Agency by using strongest terms.

Not only people in Iran but most people in Eastern Europe and Middle East region observed strange lights in the sky. Some said the third world war has started between Iran and Israel. In that specific time none of the official news agencies reacted to the rumors and no comments made by authorities.

“(to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad) I have to let you know that some weird things happened in Iran during your visit to China. People saw strange lights in the sky and they were linked to the third world war. Some others said Israel has targeted Iran using their missiles. At this time most people connected to Internet in order to find a formal explanation about the reason of those light. But Iranians’ official news agencies didn’t publish any story on this subject. As far as I know, the annual expenses of these news agencies are more than millions of Dollars but those accredited correspondents were all asleep in that time.” Rezvaniyeh wrote in his letter.

“People in Iran do not often observe the downfall of meteors so that was not a normal happening in Iran. Who was responsible for the probable unrests in streets after seeing such a weird lights? Who would control them? I was wondering if you could please let me know whats the intention of Iranian Space Agency.” Farvartish questioned Ahmadinejad.

“We need to support and extend the local media and online news websites when Police is blocking the foreign news websites and ban using of building-mounted satellite dishes. Police should take action in these situations too. On Thursday only I and a few other reporters controlled people using social network websites like Facebook.” He reiterated.

Its noteworthy that Social network websites were the only source of news and updates about Thursday’s happenings in Iran.
