According to the latest reports published by Flippa, the Melbourne based company has sold more than $22 million worth of websites and domain names in 2012. Flippa buyers placed over 413,000 bids on auctions in 2012 and 29,022 websites and domains were sold since January which shows an increase of 3,000 sales over 2011. It’s good to know that about $93 million worth of websites has been sold in Flippa during the recent years.
The biggest marketplace of websites also received 2.9 million unique visitors this year as opposed to last year’s 2.1 million uniques. The support staffers solved and closed about 30,000 support tickets in 2012.
The bad news for the company is that the main website is no longer between the top 1000 sites of the world according to Alexa ranking system. However Flippa is currently ranked between the top 1000 sites in more than 20 countries including Australia, India, Canada and United Kingdom.
Generally 2012 was one of the best years of Flippa which they redesigned the website and revamped the listing process.
