Iran Pro League Sepahan 2-0 Persepolis FC

7 points from 9 matches in Iran Pro League was the achievement of Manuel Jose’s in Persepolis FC. Sepahan stunned Tehran based club, Persepolis FC, in the ninth week of Iran’s league.

In the first half both sides created several goal opportunities, however Sepahan had better performance in compare to Persepolis FC. Moharram Navidkia, the Capitan of Sepahan, lost the best goal chance in the first half after receiving a great pass from Mohammad Reza Khalatbari. After a few minutes Javad Kazemian, Winger of Persepolis, create a fantastic opportunity for Mohammad Nouri but he wasted that opportunity too.

Sepahan was the better side in the second half. Adel Kolahkaj scored the first goal of the match for his side on 52′. Mehdi Mahdavikia couldn’t control the ball in front of their goal and it resulted into a good pass for Kolahkaj. After conceding the first goal, Persepolis increased its pressure on Sepahan but they didn’t have any special tactic to score equalizer goal. Sepahan performed dangerous counter-attacks and in one of them Albanian striker Xhevahir Sukaj scored the second goal for Sepahan. In the last minutes of the game, Zlatko Kranjcar was not happy with the performance of his players.

Isfahani fans booed two former players of Sepahan, Mohsen Bengar and Jalal Hosseini. These players left Sepahan to join Tehran’s Persepolis and the managers of Sepahan failed to convince them to stay in Isfahan.
