Iran Says Not Involved in Founding Hussainias in Egypt

The Head of Iranian Interests Section in Egypt said the country is not involving in Egyptian affairs or foundation of Hussainias in the African country.

He made the remarks in a meeting with sheikh of Al-Azhar, Ahmed el-Tayeb where he rejected claims on Iran’s involvement in founding Hussainias in Egypt and said his country is seeking brotherly ties between Iran and Egypt.

Ahmed el-Tayeb on his part said founding Hussainias in Egypt leads to instability, split in unity and weakening the country.

Amani also rejected reports that Prophet Mohammad’s image was shown in an Iranian film and said Iranian clerics have called the issue Haram (religiously forbidden).

Sheikh of Al-Azhar on his part said showing Prophet Mohammad’s image in any art work is Haram (religiously forbidden).
