Deputy Managing Director of the National Iranian Gas Company Mostafa Kashkooli announced his country will become the second largest gas producer in world after Russia.
“I want to give you an important message in this conference. Iran is going to keep its breakthrough in gas production field. According to our plans, Iran will become the second largest gas producer in world in soon future. Our works and efforts have proved us before. We can achieve to each point we dream.” Mostafa Kashkooli said during the World Gas Conference in Malaysia.
“Also we want to increase our share in world gas trades to 10% until the end of 2025. Our policy is to expand gas trades with Iran’s neighbor countries and they will also benefit from gas trades.” Kashkooli added.
Currently Iran holds the fourth position between countries which have natural gas production. Iran used to pump 138,500,000,000 cubic meters as of 2010.
