Iran to Join 25th World Gas Confab

Iranian companies will attend the 25th World Gas Conference supposed to be held in Kuala Lumpur on June 4-8.

The conference which is considered to be the biggest and the most significant event on gas will be held with the motto of “Gas: Keeping Global Growth in the Future”.

More than 500 speakers as well as 5,000 international professional figures on gas industry will take part in the conference.

The world’s most significant gas producers including Russia and Qatar and some companies from different other countries such as Australia, Turkey, Japan, Belgium, Norway, the U.S., France, the U.K., the Netherlands, Germany and China will take part in the conference.

More than 70 sessions are scheduled to be held to study the various ideas, strategies, challenges and policies on oil and gas industry.

Iran as the second largest natural gas reserves after Russia makes the best efforts to improve its gas production and exports by encouraging the foreign and local investments regarding the energy projects, particularly in the South Pars gas field.

The Iranian gas field possesses 14 trillion cubic meters of natural gas which is roughly eight percent of the world’s reserves and more than 18 billion barrels of Liquefied natural gas.
