Iranian Workers Have 3 Month Contract

Fathollah Bayat, head of the Iranian labor league, said more than 85% of the Iranian workers are now working on 3 month contracts.

“Because of the critical satiations in most of the industries, workers have short term contracts up to 3 month. Currently those workers who have long term contract are under insurance while the small businesses and cooperation do not offer insurance services to their short term workers.” Fathollah Bayat said.

He also added more than 50% of the jobs in Iran are “unstable”, “The real rate of unemployment in Iran is not same as what government announced.”

“Most of plants have encountered many problems and issues after cutting subsidy. Government should re-review their case and try to repay their subsidy. Also more than 50% of Iranian workers earn the least stipend.” Bayat said.
