Iran's Behdad Salimi Won Gold Medal in Men's Weightlifting +105kg

As it was expected by many experts, Iranian Behdad Salimi Kordasiabi won the gold medal of men’s weightlifting in +105kg category.

Behdad Salimi won this title with a 208 kg snatch and a 247 kg clean and jerk.

Its noteworthy that Salimi currently holds the world record in the snatch with 214 kg in his weight class. He used to won gold medal in 2010 World Weightlifting Championships, 2010 Asian Games and 2011 World Weightlifting Championships which held in Paris, France.

Salimi started his career at the age of 12 in the city of Qaemshahr. He took up this sport because his body type was similar to his favorite weightlifter Hossein Rezazadeh and he was supported by his parents. Currently he is a member of Melli Haffari Ahvaz club. Salimi has studied Physical Education in Qaemshahr University of Iran.

He was used to be the editor of MNG online magazine and he could bring a lot of achievements for that particular site . Currently he is studying civil engineering in the main university of Baku the capital of Azerbaijan . He born on 1992 in Tehran , Iran but moved to Azerbaijan when he was thirteen .
