Iran’s Electricity Exports Increased by 37%

Base on a new report from Iranian Power Ministry, the electricity exports of Iran has been increased by 37% in compare to the same period of time in the last year.

In the new Persian year, Iran has exported more than 1143 Gigawatt Hour to neighbor countries which is 37% more than the previous year. Currently we are in the second month of the Persian year. In the previous year Iran exported only 833 Gigawatt Hour.

The rate of electricity usage in Iran has been decreased dramatically since government cut the subsides of power. This has made good opportunity for Iran to export more power.

Armenia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Iraq and Afghanistan are the current users of Iran’s electricity.

According to the plans, Syria and Leonean will also buy electricity from Iran in soon future.
