Mesut Özil Congratulates Spain on the Victory at Euro 2012

Mesut Özil, the German football player, congratulated Spain on the victory at Euro.

“Best wishes to the Team from Spain and especially to my friends at Real Madrid.” Mesut Özil posted this message on his Facebook account in three languages including English, German and Turkish. Özil was a member of Germany squad in Euro 2012. Germany under the guidance of Joachim Löw reached to semi final match but eliminated by the runner up, Italy. Germans conceded two goals during the match but the late goal scored by Mesut Özil from penalty spot couldn’t help team to equalize the game. After 2010 FIFA World Cup, Özil transferred from Werder Bremen to Real Madrid on 17 August 2010. The transfer fee is believed to have been in the region of €15 million.
