New Google Doodle Released for Opening Ceremony London 2012

Google, the giant search engine, replaced its main logo in homepage with a new Google doodle in order to celebrate the opening ceremony London 2012.

However this doodle doesn’t show any specific creativity from its designers. The solid picture depicts five athletes in football, swimming, running (jumping), javelin throw, fencing and basketball sports. The letters of Google are also held by athletes. Another notable point is that there is not any Asian face between the depicted faces. Also Google could use the cartoons of famous athletes in its doodle like Pau Gasol or Anderson Varejao as the basketball player and Usain Bolt for runner.

London hosts the 30th modern Olympic Games from July 27, 2012 to August 12, 2012. Although the first match of women’s football kicked off on July 25 with a certain gaffe from the organizers.

Over 10,000 athletes from 204 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) are expected to participate in 2012 Summer Olympics. Approximately 4,700 Olympic and Paralympic medals have been produced by the Royal Mint.
