Google is rumored to be unveiling the Nexus 11 tablet at their upcoming I/O conference. The newest Nexus tablet is said to be a bit larger than the last Nexus device and larger than most on the marker at the moment. SamMobile has managed to leak the specs for this new tablet.
The Nexus 11 is said to be 11 inches and have a Super PLS TFT screen that could run at 1920×1080 or 2560×1600 resolution as was the case with the Nexus 10. It is said to have a 2 megapixel front camera and an 8 megapixel rear camera. It could ship with Samsung’s own eight core Exynos 5410 chip. The Exynos 5410 has four Cortex A15 core for heavy duty jobs while the Cortex A7 is for lighter jobs such as handling battery life. Top these off with the oft requested and generally standard microSD slot.
SamMobile also reports that there could be is a lower end/less costly version being worked on as well. The device is being called the Samsung Galaxy Tab 11 and is likely to have the TouchWiz and a slightly less beefy of the Exynos 5250 to allow for a less pricey release.
At 11 inches it is definitely one of the bigger tablets around in a market where 10.1 inches is big enough. It definitely isn’t a monolith like the Transformer AiO from Asus (which looms at a little over 18 inches) and it’s only a little under an inch bigger than most—not even noticeable unless you keep tape on you at all times—but it could cause a few noses to turn up. That said, you’re definitely not carrying around a beast of a tablet whereas size is concerned, but it is pretty beastly when it comes to the rumored features here.
