The Unemployment Rate in Iran is 30%

Dariush Ghanbari, Member of Parliament and Member of Labors Fraction in Majlis, said most of the employment rates in Iran are wrong and they are deceiving.

“Currently the unemployment rate in Iran is 30%, but in the officials reports its been announced 3 million people while students and women are not counted in those official reports released by government. The number of the current students will be added to the population of unemployed. Also Iranian government counts soldiers who are doing national service as the employed people.” Dariush Ghanbari added.

He also refused the recent report by government regarding making 2 million jobs in Iran by saying: “I think these numbers and reports are for cheating the people.”

Ghanbari criticized the high rate of imports and said: “The high rate of imports from other countries cause unemployment inside Iran.”
