Victor Munoz Appointed as Al Ittihad Head Coach

Victor Munoz born 15 March 1957 in Zaragoza, Aragon set for giant Al Ittihad head coach title . He was the former coach of Villarreal , Panathinaikos and Getafe . Earlier this year he was the coach of Swiss club Neuchatel Xamax but he left the club after bankruptcy announcing . As player he was a member of Barcelona FC in 1981–82 won UEFA Cup . He also won Spanish Cup with Zaragoza in 2003-04 season as manager .

The 54-year-old Spaniardwill take this job for a 6 month contract until the end of this season . Munoz would replace Matjaz Kek who was dismissed last week after barely a month in the job .

Lothar Matthaus, Hasan Shehata and Eric Gerets have all reportedly been chased by the eight-time Saudi champions, who are about to embark on their 2012 AFC Champions League campaign.

Al Ittihad, two-time Asian champions, reached the semi-finals of the 2011 tournament .
