Volkswagen Aiming At 30 Electric Vehicle Lines On The Road In The Next Decade

Volkswagen has is looking to get around two to three million electric vehicles on the road within the next decade. The company is planning to launch around 30 lines in hopes of hitting that goal.

The company has been entertaining electronic and self-driving vehicles for some time with significant investments with companies in that arena as well as showcasing its own electronic offerings at major conferences.

To achieve this hefty goal, Volkswagen also mentioned it would have to improve its holdings to cover R&D that would certain eat into finances. Whenever a company points to improving finances or efficiency “streamlining” pops up in discussion and when “streamlining” pops up divisions and branches get shutdown and workers are either releases or shuffled around.

That said, this is a ten year trek for Volkswagen, so we’ll have see what it does on the road to get those 30 electric car lines out.
