Yahoo and NFL Teaming Up To Stream London Game

In a roughly $20 million deal, Yahoo picked up the exclusive rights to live stream the NFL’s International Series showdown between the Buffalo Bills and the Jacksonville Jaguars. The game will take place in the legendary Wembley Stadium in London and will only be available through, Yahoo Sports, Yahoo Screen and Tumblr. This means NFL fans will be able to watch the game via platform.

The step to air the game from London in just one in a number of ideas bounced around in regards to the NFL attempting to expand the league internationally. Other ideas include games in Mexico, China, and Canada as well as having the 2017 Pro Bowl to Brazil or Germany.

It’s reported that other tech giants have competed against Yahoo to stream the game—including YouTube. The live stream will feature commercials as expected with Yahoo looking to really push that aspect without ruining the viewing experience it seems.

Expect both the NFL and Yahoo to really hype this team up as well as the actual game itself leading up to the International Series. Fans will be able to catch the game October 25th at 8:30/9:30AM ET—2:30PM in London.
