Zarghami Urged IRGC to Support Iranian Government

Ezzatollah Zarghami, the head of IRIB, urged Islamic Revolution Guardians Corps to support Iranian government in order to overcome on the current economic war between Iran and Western countries.

Zarghami criticized the current internal political wars and forgetting the external economic war by saying: “IRGC and the other armed forces and security organizations must help government and people to overcome on the imposed economic war.” He remarked during a meeting with the officials of IRGC and armed forces in The Imam Hossein University.

“The supreme leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Hosseini Khamenei, asked several times for the improvement of the current government because we are engaged in an economic war by receiving many sanctions. So this is our duty to back Iranian government.” Zarghami said. “However there are some problems with our governmental persons. We need to criticize them but the way should be different.”

Zarghami also talked about the importance of nuclear power for Iran and said Iran should not withdraw from its natural right in using nuclear energy for peaceful goals.

Its noteworthy that on march 24, 2012 Zarghami was added to the European Union sanctions list.
