10th Anniversary Star Wars: The Clone Wars Panel At San Diego Comic-Con

San Diego Comic-Con will be the setting for the 10th anniversary of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The series began as an animated film based on the original before it moved on to a regular series on Cartoon Network.

For six seasons between 2008 and 2014, the series served as a vehicle for telling other stories in the main Star Wars continuity–particularly between The Clone Wars and Return of the Sith. When Disney purchased Lucasfilm in 2012, the series was cut short two years later.

Stories continued to be told through comics and other stories in different parts of the franchise’s timeline are continued through Star Wars Rebels–which just ended–and the upcoming Star Wars Resistance. As with any franchise with a large fanbase, the animated properties have their own fans–some who have never watched the actual movies. Star Wars: The Clone Wars probably has the largest of the animated offerings.

The panel at the San Diego Comic-Con will feature supervising director Dave Filoni among others and will take place at 11:45 AM on July 19.
