If you were using the beta version of Edge for Android then you should already have the feature. For everyone else, the feature will come in a later update. For those wondering which adblocking software will be used, it should come as no surprise that the reigning champion AdBlock Plus is what Microsoft is going with here. It will be interesting to see what–if anything–advertisers can do to get around AdBlock Plus’ wall of block.
As we all know, AdBlock Plus doesn’t play around when it comes to blocking ads of any kind. Other offerings are very select in what is blocked but in this case, if there’s a site you support by keeping ads off and you plan on using Edge for Android, be sure to make adjustments in your settings.
