Iran’s Persepolis defeated the Emirates based club Al Shabab by 3 goals and secured its presence and place in the next round of AFC Champions League with obtaining 11 points from 6 matches. Al Shabab ended their campaign with only 2 scored from 6 matches. They made their points in games with Al Gharafa and Al Hilal.
Al Shabab started its last match better than its opponent and Issa Mohammed scored the first goal for hosts in 8′ using a free kick. After receiving this goal, Persepolis made some opportunities in the subsequent minutes but Rezaei and Kazemian lost them. Finally Éamon Zayed, the Libyan striker, scored a goal for Reds and equalized the game.
In the second half, Ali Karimi helped his side to make other opportunities. In 53′ Persepolis rewarded with a free kick and Pooladi scored it for his side.
Badamaki was the golden substitute for Persepolis. He entered into the pitch in 82′ and scored the third goal of his side in 90′ after dribbling three defenders.
