The Wikipad will hit the U.S June 11 weighing in at $250, the same price as the PlayStation Vita. The Wikipad is a basically a 7 inch Android connected to a game controller. A 10.1 inch version of the Wikipad is a possibility, but nothing has been mentioned about it outside of it originally being announced when the Wikipad was revealed. The Wikipad was originally working with Gaikai—now working with Sony—for streaming titles via cloud. Even though that business relationship isn’t in effect, the Wikipad team says that cloud functionally is still in effect.

The Wikipad will allow for access to many classics in Sony’s video game vault such as Jet Moto and others via PlayStation Mobile. There’s a very minor dueling point here as there is a larger screen than the PlayStation Vita, but there’s also a definite lack of titles—particularly PlayStation games—for the Wikipad. Despite that, you get an Android tablet when not enjoying games, so that’s a bonus there. June 11 during E3 is when the Wikipad drops in the U.S. Expect a worldwide release sometime afterwards.
