Amazon’s Audible audio book streaming service has a new service called Channels. The service offers subscription-oriented podcasts and other content in one place for a low price of $5 as a stand-alone service.
Channels will also give users spoken news from sources such as USA Today and The New York Times among others. The service will also feature original content and like the variety of audio book genres, it will offer a variety of shows across all genres.
Like Amazon’s main services like Prime and Video, potential subscribers have the choice of getting the full Audible experience along with Channels with the default subscription at $15 or—as mentioned above—simply pick up Channels as a standalone service at $5.
If you’re interested in checking out Channels, you can check it out here or through the main Audible app. For those not on Audible, you can check it out with the 30-day free trial.
