The giant social networking website , Facebook , confirmed that there are a number of fake registered accounts in the site . Network has estimated this number should be between 42 to 50 million . The report published on Thursday in New York confirmed this reality .
Some of the Facebook users have more than one registered account under the incorrect names which is contrary to the rules of Facebook . Without counting these phantom accounts the number of members of the network will be about 800 million .
This is the first time Facebook is announcing the number of fake accounts officially . Facebook is the most visited social networking site following by Twitter .
