“Young Journalists Club” , an Iranian official news agency , has published a fake story regarding Mohsen Sazegara’s Twitter account .

“In social networks websites users follow and add each other , who has more friends or people following him is more popular and the number of friends and fans usually show the popularity of the account’s holder .” YJC reported . “We have captured an image from Mohsen Sazegara’s Twitter account .”
The writer has pointed to the number of the “Following” which is currently zero .
YJC continued : “As you see in this picture the number of Mohsen Sazegara’s following is zero .” Then the agency concludes : “This shows the zero popularity of this guy even between his fans in outside and inside Iran . Nobody follows his tweets and updates .”
According to Twitter , definition of “Following” is :
– You are subscribing to their Tweets as a follower.
– Their updates will appear in your Home page.
– That person is able send you direct messages.
The number of Mohsen Sazegara’s followers is 1851 which clear in the captured picture .
It’s noteworthy that a lot of official and semi-official news agencies in Iran re-published the story .
Mohsen Sazegara is an Iranian journalist and pro-democracy political activist . Dr Sazegara held several high ranking positions in the Government of Mir-Hossein Mousav i, such as deputy prime minister , minister of industry , deputy chairman of the budget and planning department , and many more before becoming disillusioned with the government in 1989 and pushing for reforms .
