Marvel Announces Season 2 Of Luke Cage

Yesterday Marvel announced that there would be a season two of Luke Cage on Netflix. The series debuted on the platform at the end of September to a lot of hype and positive reviews for the storyline, music, cast, and setting.

Luke Cage is about the Marvel Comics character of the same name with superhuman strength and unbreakable skin that makes the decision to clean up Harlem of the influence of Cottonmouth and his cousin, councilwoman Black Mariah.

It starts out in similar fashion to Marvel’s Daredevil and Marvel’s Jessica Jones—two other Netflix shows about street-level heroes—with the protagonist taking on a gang, but our hero quickly gets entangled in a larger battle with a deadlier foe.

Marvel hasn’t said when the next season would hit Netflix only saying “soon.” What is known is that 2017 will be busy for Marvel and Netflix as Daredevil, Iron Fist, and The Defenders are scheduled to stream. Needless to say as far as TV goes, next year will be a good one for Marvel fans.
