More Than 98% of Iran’s Car Market is For Local Manufacturers

In the previous Persian Year, 1390, around 98% of Iran’s car market was for local manufacturers.

The new analysis released by Iran’s Car Producers League shows 97.9% of the car’s market was for local producers including Saipa, Iran Khodro and Bahman. Saipa had 48.8% of the total market following by Iran Khodro with 47% and Bahman Group with 1.9%.

Producing of cars in Iran has been increased by 2.4% reaching to 1,641,529 cars in the last Persian year.

Ministry of Industries and Mines of Iran is going to support Bahman Group in order to increase the portion of this company in local markets.

Experts believe foreigner producers of cars cannot compete with local companies because Iran’s Custom cuts high rate for importing of cars and this increases the end price for clients which is not comparable with local’s cars.
