Royal Dutch Shell announced on Thursday that the company will stop buying the crude oil from Iran the next few week before the European deadline to execute the sanctions .
The spokeman of the company in Amsterdam confirmed this news and said the decision has been made by Peter Voser , CEO of the Royal Dutch Shell .
This company buys around 200,000 crude oil barrels a day from Iran and distribute them to Japan and European countries . However the spokeman didn’t confirm this number .
Shell announced earlier that the company will still cooperate with Iran despite applying sanctions , But never mentioned a time . Shell doesn’t have any active project in Iran however they have an office located in Tehran and they sell Helix product .
Now China , India and Japan are the big buyer of Iran’s oil respectively , They import around 45% of Iran’s oil .
Iran Oil Ministry recently stopped oil exports to several European countries and threated to do the same for others .
