Sony To Decommission More Online Servers Fors PS3 Titles In Early 2014

In 2014, Sony will be shutting down online servers for several games on the PlayStation 3. At the earlier end of that list are MAG (Massive Action Game), SOCOM: Special Forces, and SOCOM: Confrontation.

MAG is looking at a January 28 shutdown date along with Confrontation and will no longer be playable as they are online multiplayer-only.

During the spring Gran Turismo 5, Resistance: Fall of Man, Resistance 2, and Resistance 3 will no longer have working servers. November 26 marks the end for PAIN’s online features.

Most of the games that are getting decommissioned servers will be playable with single player campaign, however if online play is your thing, your only option is to upgrade to the sequel if there is one.
