Are you a Spotify user who regularly clears their cache? One would hope you are. Do you hate when your downloaded songs are either thrown in disarray or deleted altogether? Of course you do, it’s terrible.
Apple Music Tops Spotify in U.S. Subscribers
Now Spotify for Android and iOS allows you to clear out your cache and your downloaded songs would be touched in the process. It took a while for this seemingly easy and expected task to be done, but there it is. That’s right, we’ve come a long way.
Android users were the first to get the update some weeks ago but to be frank, it’s not something you’d really notice or that Spotify would jump to tell you about in a post. You’re likely to see this as a bullet in an update log below “Improved system stability.”
At any rate, it’s a welcome function since downloaded songs would get deleted in the process of clearing out the cache, a regular and mandatory process. You can get to the feature by going to “Settings” then to “Storage.”
So clear out your Spotify cache without fear of losing your favorite tunes! The new cache management feature is available on both Android and iOS.
