Visible Could Be A Big Competitor In The Third-Party Carrier Game

If you’re looking at a new mobile network for whatever reason, then Verizon might have a low-cost solution for you. Visible seems to be the mobile carrier’s answer to T-Mobile’s MetroPCS.

The allure of Visible comes from its $40 fee for all services available. This raises the question: “What do I get for $40?” Supposedly, you would get minutes, (throttled) data, and text unlimited.

A small group inside Verizon bounced the idea around last year before laying down the groundwork. As stated before, this will give Verizon a foothold in the affordable plan arena where it’s competitors have operators that work via the parent carrier’s mobile network–again, see T-Mobile and MetroPCS. The carrier will be flexible in allowing payments via PayPal and Venmo while also not locking customers into contracts.

If you’re interested, know that Visible is only open to those using iOS whole in the testing phase. That said, you are able to sign up for updates on availability.
